Guidelines

Project displays should be on sturdy 36” x 48” tri-fold boards available at local craft and office supply stores. Written material, drawings and pictures should be securely attached to the display board. The size of display boards may not exceed 30” deep, 48” wide, and 72” high.

Please remember that the project board should be "stand-alone". All information that you wish to convey to the judges must be displayed on the project board. The student's project journal is a written record of the steps that you went through to arrive at what is presented on the project board. The journal is not intended to include key project elements, such as references, etc. The judges are instructed not to give points for information which is contained only in the project journal and not on the project board.

Past experience has shown that some types of tapes and glues do not adhere well to some types of project boards. We recommend that you adhere all items at least 48 hours before the science fair so that you know whether your items will remain as placed on your project board.
