| Green Team
Green Team is a service project designed for the benefit of Canyon Creek Elementary. We provide year round care for the school "green" areas, in particular the gardens. This gives the teachers learning areas to be used for hands on science projects or at times just an outdoor environment for classroom diversity. The beautification of the outside of Canyon Creek Elementary provides a pleasant environment for our teachers, staff, and students to enter into each day. We maintain the gardens by planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and watering as needed. This is a year round responsibility with two focuses on a school wide fall and spring clean up day. These days usually occur in mid October and late February. Green Team is a vibrant and constantly evolving group of gardeners. We are always looking for new volunteers and new ways to improve our green space. Please contact Lisa McCaughey for more information or to volunteer.
